Overview
A vintage carnival-inspired target shooting game where players test their aim by shooting mechanical ducks as they move across the screen. Inspired by classic midway attractions, the game recreates the charm of old-fashioned shooting galleries while challenging players to quickly track moving targets and maintain accuracy to achieve a high score.
Early versions lacked a cohesive visual direction and featured a color palette that did not effectively support gameplay readability. Insufficient contrast between targets and environmental elements created visual competition on screen, making it harder for players to quickly identify threats and react efficiently.

The visual direction was refined by adhering to a simplified vintage carnival aesthetic inspired by classic midway shooting galleries. Reducing environmental clutter, simplifying shapes, and establishing a more controlled color palette fostered a stronger visual contrast between gameplay elements and the background.

The simplified art direction strengthened the game's identity, reinforcing the charm of traditional carnival shooting galleries without overwhelming the player with unnecessary detail.
‣ Visual hierarchy is essential in target-focused gameplay.
‣ Simplifying an environment can improve both readability and atmosphere.
‣ Consistent art direction helps create a stronger player experience.
‣ Background elements should support gameplay, not compete with it.
